CLASS TYPES

What is the difference between a Drop In Class, Choreography Class, Level Up Class, Music Video Production, and Virtual Show Production?

DROP IN CLASS

A drop in class consists of a warm up, stretch, dancer's workout, technique & skill training, & a short piece of choreography (referred to as the combo). Drop in classes are typically 1 hour in length, allowing time at the end of class to perform the choreography learned for yourself to film. With a range of styles & levels, there is a drop in class for anyone, whether you are just trying out dance for the first time or want to improve on your skillset.

CHOREOGRAPHY CLASS

A choreography class consists of a warm up, stretch and a longer piece of choreography (referred to as the combo). Choreography classes typically range from 45 minutes to 1 hour in length. We finish the class with a professional video shoot of the choreography learned. You are welcome to film yourself as well, but know that we will also provide you with the class video that will be used as promotional material for Studio XIV.

LEVEL UP CLASS

A level up class is a full technique training class ranging from 30 minutes to 1 hour in length. There is no choreography (combo) taught in this class as we fully focus on the technique & skills required for the dance style. We challenge each student in these classes, helping each individual improve at their own pace.

MUSIC VIDEO PRODUCTION

A music video production is four 1.5 hour classes that train you to film your own solo music video on the final week. Choose your style & level and learn the fundamental techniques and a fun piece of choreography. After 3 weeks of learning, training & cleaning, we will film a professional solo music video. Performers receive a digital copy of their music video.

VIRTUAL SHOW PRODUCTION

A virtual show production is eight 1.5 classes that train you to be apart of Studio XIV virtual production, filmed on the final week. Choose your style & level and learn the fundamental techniques and multiple pieces of choreography. After 7 weeks of learning, training & cleaning, we will film a professional video to be included in the final production. Performers receive a free ticket to view the virtual show and a digital copy of the show. Previous shows have been viewed world-wide with ticket purchases in Canada, USA, Europe & Australia.
